Built in 1889, The Club is the oldest hotel in town and has many stories to share. As well as the fires, there’s the ghost, the horse that drank at the bar, and another that slept upstairs while his owner drank at the bar.

Known originally as ‘The Club’ the hotel took on the name of the “Pink Pub’ when painted pink from top to bottom. The Club remained the only hotel in King Street, the main street of Clifton, until 1900. Unlike many other hotels, ‘The Club’ has never burnt down although it has seen a fire or two.

The always popular steam services also depart Toowoomba twice a year - Mother's Day (May) and during Toowoomba’s Carnival of Flowers (September).

Club Dining
The Club Bistro is a destination for a coffee, lunch, a good night out, for that special dinner, or for a day trip or weekend get-away.

Don’t forget The Club’s ‘Outback Bar’ with its pool table and BBQ for families. There’s also the TV and music. Or enjoy the lounge with its Juke Box and BIG screen for TV, sport and movies. We also have Darts Competition, Poker Nights and Trivia.

Try your hand on one of the gaming machines or Keno and watch the numbers displayed as you’re dining.

Club Accommodation
The Club’s accommodation is fully renovated, and yet harkens back to the charm of a bygone era. The Club accommodates up to 12 people in a combination of ‘Double’ and ‘Twin Single’ rooms with one room including a spacious private lounge that converts to another double bed.

Functions
Celebrate your next birthday or special event with the best party makers in town! You bring the group, we’ll add the colour. Balloons, streamers, table covers… just let us know your theme. The Club will also make the cake!

You can even have a room for your private function. A great way to start, or end, your celebration!

Book your next group gathering and enjoy delicious platters in your own private room! Choose from our hot or cold platters - or grab one of each! The Club caters to your budget for meals including, entrée, mains and dessert. Vegetarian and Gluten Free options available.

For groups of 20-40, we can provide a private area if required. You can also setup a drinks menu for your guests to choose from, as well as the music of your choice.

Perhaps you want to get a group of friends together for the footy final. This too is available with a BIG SCREEN in the Lounge. The options are endless.
